Pen Green Research Base
|
The Pen Green Research Base was established in 1995. We decided to set up a dedicated centre for research and training in early years and we housed ourselves in a small building on site, with just a handful of staff. Today we have around 20 staff members working in a purpose built conference and professional development centre.
Our vision has always been for the research base to be an important resource for those working in the early years field, both inside and outside the UK. We are also a key resource for our own children’s centre and the other children’s centres within Corby.
By developing practitioner research within a children’s centre setting, and through training offered to both practitioners and parents we are able to help Pen Green and other children’s centres to constantly reflect on and review their practice. In doing so we are improving services for children and families and making a difference.
We hold many different training events and conferences at Pen Green Research. For those of you who have to travel a long way, we have put together an Accommodation Guide showing some of the choices of hotels and bed & breakfasts in the area.
If you want to know How to find Us we have created some maps of Corby and the surrounding area to help you.
We have also put together some Staff Profiles of the team here at the Research Base. |
